John Matsumoto Giampietro

John Matsumoto Giampietro is a stage director, educator, writer. 在esball世博. Matsumoto Giampietro teaches Fundamentals of 代理 和 Viewpoints for the Singer in the 声乐艺术 Division 和 provides dramatic coachings across all degree levels.

His opera productions at Juilliard include: Suor当归, 詹尼·Schicchi, The Turn of the Screw, Il Turco in Italia, L 'elisir爱, 麻鹬河, Le Nozze di Figaro 和 the devised opera There’s Blood Between Us.

John is the Interim Director of the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory where he has directed over 20 operas including, The Cunning Little Vixen, Hänsel und Gretel, Le nozze di Figaro, Der Rosenkavalier, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

John is a member of the opera faculty of The Curtis Institute of 音乐 where he teaches 代理 for the Singer.

A Director-Member of The Ensemble Studio Theatre in NYC, he is a frequent collaborator with 血性小子, the Obie-award-winning playwright’s group. At EST, John directed the NY Times acclaimed production of Year of the Rooster, by Olivia Dufault.
